History
History of eVOLution
eVOLution was first established in 1966 as the Council for Social Services, and registered as a charity in February 1967, so has a long and proud tradition of supporting the voluntary and community sector in Darlington. In our 40th year, the organisation took another step forward, and completed the change from an unincorporated association to a company limited by guarantee, becoming “live” on 1 October 2006. In 2008 the organisation re-branded as eVOLution aiming to bring people’s perception of the Third Sector into 21st century.
