Third Sector Networks
Representing our Sector we have developed 5 Third Sector network groups which reflect the Sustainable Community Strategy, One Darlington Perfectly Placed.
The Third Sector network meetings convene at eVOLution and are a resource in which to give the sector a stronger voice, so that we can develop and deliver the services to help Third Sector organisations achieve their objectives and attain sustainability. These meetings are open to all organisations within the sector no matter how large or small.
The meetings enable organisations to come together to share information as a network to ensure the wider voluntary sector are kept informed and have opportunities to make their views known. The meetings then make it possible to feed views raised in the network meetings into the LSP, LAA, and other forums and to facilitate dialogue between public authorities and the Sector, to challenge delivery of service and identify gaps in the Third Sector, to appoint individuals to represent the voluntary sector on statutory and other bodies and to be a point of reference for local, regional and national organisations. We encourage and assist organisations in making collaborative bids for services, in a time where there is an economic downturn.
