Volunteers are needed to work with young people aged 16, taking part in the National Citizen Service (NCS) Darlington area.  The purpose of the role is to motivate young people and be a positive role model as to why it is important to be a good citizen.  This is an ideal opportunity for people who would like to get experience in working with young people, or who would just like to get involved in this fantastic scheme, now in its second year.

Volunteers will promote diversity through activities and other opportunities, and work to ensure inclusion of all participants.  Working as part of a small team, volunteers will provide support to the key workers and will participate fully alongside the young people in all activities.  Volunteers will be involved in the planning and reviewing of activities throughout all phases of NCS.  The scheme will run from June - September 2012 and Volunteers who wish to take part in the whole scheme will need to be able to commit to 193 hours of volunteering during this time period including two full time residential weeks, some evenings and weekends.

All Volunteers aged over 17years welcome.
